学生通常先进入 UBC Bachelor of Applied Science（Engineering）第一年，完成 foundational first year of engineering 后，再通过竞争性 program placement 进入 Civil Engineering。UBC Civil Engineering 同时在 Vancouver 与 Okanagan 提供相关项目；本记录对应 Vancouver Campus。由于专业名额可能有限，录取到 UBC Engineering 与达到最低要求不保证进入 Civil Engineering。
该项目面向有意参与城市基础设施、交通、水资源、结构、地基、海岸、防灾韧性、环境保护、建筑与施工管理的学生。毕业生可进入 consulting companies、construction firms、transportation industries、government organizations、water/waste management、urban and regional planning、geotechnical engineering、mapping and surveying、environmental protection and rehabilitation 等领域，也可继续攻读 Master of Engineering Leadership in Urban Systems、Integrated Water Management、High Performance Buildings、研究生、医学或法学等方向。
